SUBJECT: LINCOLN CENTER SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAM
LINCOLN CENTER, HOLLEMAN AND ELEANOR STREETS IN COLLEGE STATION, IS OPEN DAILY
MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 10:00 A.M. TO 12:00 NOON FOR CRAFTS; 1:00 P.M.
THROUGH 5:00 P.M. FOR TABLE GAMES, INDIVIDUAL, DUAL AND TEAM SPORTS, LOW ORGANIZED
GAMES, STORY TELLING, READING, CONTESTS; 6:00 THROUGH 9:00 P.M. FOR INDIVIDUAL,
DUAL AND TEAM SPORTS, TABLE GAMES AND SPECIAL EVENTS. THE PROGRAM IS FLEXIBLE
SO IF YOU HAVE AN IDEA FOR A GOOD ACTIVITY COME ON OVER AND TELL US ABOUT IT.
THE CRAFT PROGRAM IS FOR EVERYONE FOUR YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER, CHILDREN, TEENS
AND ADULTS. THE AFTERNOON PROGRAM IS FOR ALL AGES FOUR YEARS AND OLDER. THE
EVENING PROGRAM IS FOR TEENS AND ADULTS AND SOME PRE -TEEN ACTIVITIES.
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED DURING ALL SESSIONS TO HELP WITH VARIOUS PROGRAMS. ANY-
ONE INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING TO HELP WITH THE LINCOLN CENTER PROGRAM SHOULD
CONTACT DR. MARION L. CLARKE, RECREATION AND PARKS DEPARTMENT, TEXAS A&M UNIVER-
SITY: PHONE 845-5411, OR DROP BY LINCOLN CENTER.
SUPERVISORS OF THE LINCOLN CENTER PROGRAM ARE VOLUNTEERS FROM THE RECREATION
AND PARKS DEPARTMENT OF TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY. THE EQUIPMENT AND OPERATION
FUNDS ARE PROVIDED BY THE COLLEGE STATION RECREATION COUNCIL AND DONATIONS.
ANYONE WISHING TO DONATE FUNDS AND/OR EQUIPMENT SHOULD CONTACT DR. MARION L.
CLARKE. EQUIPMENT NEEDED: FANS, AIR CONDITIONERS, PING PONG TABLES, POOL TABLE,
TABLE GAMES, TABLES, CHAIRS, CRAFT SUPPLIES, ROLLER SKATES, BATS, BALLS, POP
MACHINE, REFRIGERATOR, FREEZER, ETC. THIS IS A NON-PROFIT COMMUNITY SERVICE
ORGANIZATIONS AND ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE.

WHO: ANYONE WHO HAS COMPLETED THE FOURTH GRADE IS ELIGIBLE TO ENROLL

This is a good opportunity for babysitters to learn first aid that would be essential
in an emergency. Adults and children are welcome to take either course.

BE A PART OF THE SOLUTION TO ENVIRONMNETAL PROBLEMS: DEPOSITE YOUR ALUMINUM THROW-
AWAY CANS IN THE RECEPTACLES LOCATED IN THE PARKING LOTS AT REDMOND TERRACE SHOPPING
CENTER AND SKAGGS ALBERTSONS. ALUMINUM CANS ARE READILY RECOGNIZABLE BY THE ABSENCE
OF A SIDE SEAM IN THEIR CONSTRUCTION. DO YOUR PART TO PREVENT ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION,
SAVE YOUR ALUMINUM CANS AND DEPOSITE THEM AT THESE COLLECTION POINTS.
THIS RECYCLING PROGRAM IS SPONSORED BY THE RECREATION AND PARKS SOCIETY, A STUDENT
ORGANIZATION, OF TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY, RECREATION AND PARKSNDEPARTMENT. THIS IS THE
INITIAL PHASE OF A RECYCLING PROGRAM THAT WILL INCLUDE THE COLLECTION AND RECYCLING
OF GLASS IN COLLEGE.STATION AND PAPER AND GLASS IN BRYAN. THE PROGRAM WILL GET INTO
FULL SWING THIS FALL.
COLLECTION POINTS WILL BE ESTABLISHED IN BRYAN AS SOON AS A SITE CAN BE FOUND.
ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO PROVIDE SPACE FOR A RECYCLING COLLECTION STATION, PLEASE
