HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-0749 - Ordinance - 06/28/1971ORDINANCE NO. 749 AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE A 1.02 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT THE SOUTH CORNER OF UNIVERSITY DRIVE AT THE EAST BY-PASS FROM DISTRICT NO. 1, FIRST DWELLING HOUSE DISTRICT -TO DISTRICT NO. 4, FIRST BUSINESS DISTRICT, AND MORE PARTICU- LARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 p.m. on June 28, 1971, on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits, AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of all that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the Richard Carter League in College Station, Brazos County, Texas, being a part of that 171.038 acre tract conveyed to Bob Ross, Trustee, by Minnie M. Dansby, et al, by deed dated 30 November 1966 and recorded in Volume 259, page 241 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a concrete right-of-way marker at the intersection of the southeast right-of-way of F.M. Road No. 60 and the southwest right-of-way line of State Highway No. 6 (By -Pass East); Thence N 380 37' 30" W - 106.3 feet with the southeast right-of-way line of F.M. Road No. 60 to a concrete right-of-way marker; Thence S 510 20' W - 150.00 feet with the southeast right-of-way line of F.M. Road No. 60 to an iron rod; Thence S 430 02' E - 210.00 feet to an iron rod; Thence N 550 44' E - 210.00 feet to a concrete right-of-way marker in the southwest right-of-way line of State Highway No. 6 (By -Pass East); Thence N 380 45' W - 150.3 feet with the southwest right-of-way line of State Highway No. 6 (By -Pass East) to the point of beginning and containing 1.02 acres (44,336 sq. ft.) of land more or less, from District No. 1, First Dwelling House District to District No. 4, First Business District, and it is so ordained that said change be effective immediately.
