AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE QUESTION OF REZONING A
1.02 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT THE SOUTH CORNER OF UNIVERSITY DRIVE AT
THE EAST BY-PASS FROM DISTRICT NO. 1, FIRST DWELLING HOUSE DISTRICT TO
DISTRICT NO. 4, FIRST BUSINESS DISTRICT, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY
METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that all
land described herein be rezoned from District No. 1, First Dwelling House
District to District No. 4, First Business District;
It is hereby ordered that a public hearing shall be held at the City
Hall in College Station, Texas at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 1971, on
the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits as follows:
All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the
Richard Carter League in College Station, Brazos County, Texas, being a part
of that 171.038 acre tract conveyed to Bob Ross, Trustee, by Minnie M. Dansby,
et al, by deed dated 30 November 1966 and recorded in Volume 259, page 241 of
the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described
by metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at a concrete right-of-way marker at the intersection of the
southeast right-of-way of F.M. Road No. 60 and the southwest right-of-way
line of State Highway No. 6 (By -Pass East);
Thence N 380 37f 30" W - 106.3 feet with the southeast right-of-way
line of F.M. Road No. 60 to a concrete right-of-way marker;
Thence S 510 201 W - 150.00 feet with the southeast right-of-way line of
F.M. Road No. 60 to an iron rod;
Thence S 430 021 E - 210.00 feet to an iron rod;
Thence N 550 441 E - 210.00 feet to a concrete right-of-way marker in
the southwest right-of-way line of State Highway No. 6 (By -Pass East);
Thence N 380 45' W - 150.3 feet with the southwest right -of, -way lino of
State Highway No. 6 (By -Pass East) to the faint of beginning and containing
1.02 acres (44,336 sq. ft.) of land more or less, from District No. 1, First
Dwelling House District to District No. 4, First Business District.
Notice of said hearing shall be published in a newspaper of general
circulation in the City of College Station at least three times, the first
publication of which shall be not less than 15 days prior to the date fixed
for the hearing.
