AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE BLOCK 5, LOTS 1 THROUGH 25 OF THE UNIVERSITY
OAKS SUBDIVISION, SECTION 2, FROM DISTRICT NO. 3, APARTMENT HOUSE
DISTRICT TO DISTRICT NO. 2, SECOND DWELLING HOUSE DISTRICT, AND SAID
PROPERTY IS LOCATED BEHIND LOTS ON THE SOUTHEAST SIDE OF KYLE AND
GILCHRIST STREETS BETWEEN MUNSON AVENUE AND JAMES PARKWAY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas held a
public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 p. m. on Monday, November 23, 1970, on the
question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of Block 5, Lots 1 through 25 of
University Oaks Subdivision, Section 2. This block is as shown on the Final Plat of
University Oaks Subdivision, Section 2, and is located behind lots on the southeast
side of Kyle and Gilchrist Streets between Munson Avenue and James Parkway, from
District No. 3, Apartment House District to District No. 2, Second Dwelling House
District, and it is so ordained that said change be effective immediately.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 23rd day of November, 1970.
