HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-0708 - Ordinance - 11/23/1970ORDINANCE NO. 708 AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE RESERVE C, A 15.375 ACRE TRACT, MORE OR LESS, IN THE RICHARD CARTER LEAGUE, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM DISTRICT NO. 1, FIRST DWELLING HOUSE DISTRICT TO DISTRICT NO. 3, APARTMENT HOUSE DISTRICT, AND RESERVE D, A 5.591-ACRE TRACT, MORE OR LESS, IN THE RICHARD CARTER LEAGUE, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM DISTRICT NO. 1, FIRST DWELLING HOUSE DISTRICT TO DISTRICT NO. 3, APARTMENT HOUSE DISTRICT, AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 23, 1970, on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: Reserve C in the Plantation Oaks Subdivision - P&Z Case No. 35-70: To rezone or change the classification of a tract of land being 15. 375 acres, more or less, in the Richard Carter League, Brazos County, Texas. Beginning at a point for corner, said point being the following course and distances from the intersection of the Northwest R. O. W. line of State Hwy. 30 and the West line of Hwy. 6 By-pass. 1. S 450 41' 30" W, 1, 146. 89' 2. N 440 18' 30" W, 85. 08' 3. Along a curve to the right having a radius of 10301, a distance of 40. 931, Thence, continuing along said curve a distance of 100. 94' to the point of Tangency of the curve; thence N 360 25' W, 483. 82' to the point of curvature, of a curve to the left, having a radius of 251; thence along said curve 42.71' to the point of tangency of said curve; thence S 450 41' 3011, 1023.26' to the point of curvature of a curve to the left having a radius of 25'; thence along said curve 39.27' to the point of tangency; thence S 440 18' 30" E, 94. 80 to the point of curvature of a curve to the right having a radius of 4301; thence along said curve 251. 85' to the point of tangency; thence S 100 45' E, 86.45' to the point of curvature of a curve to the left, having a radius of 3701; thence along said curve 190. 73 ' to a point for corner; thence, N 450 41' 30" E, 1,177. 86' to the Place of Beginning, containing 15. 375 acres, more or less, from District No. 1, first dwelling house district to District No. 3, apartment house district, and it is so ordained that said change be effective immediately. Beginning at a point that bears N 840 36' 34" W, 537. 84' from the intersection of the Northwest line of Hwy. 30 and the Westerly line of Hwy. 6 By-pass. Thence S 450 41' 30" E, 703.101 to a point for corner; thence N 360 25' W, 303. 231 to the point of curvature to the right; thence around said curve having a radius of 251, a distance of 35. 83' to the point of tangency of said curve; thence N 450 41' 30" E, 402. 95' to the point of curvature of a curve to the left having a radius of 7601; thence along said curve a distance of 121. 92' to the point of tangency; thence N 360 30' E, 100' to the point of curvature of a curve to the right having a radius of 1, 370. 6551; thence along said curve 128.451 to a point; thence S 760 35' E, 13. 55' to a point for corner; thence S 250 15' E, 371.101 to the Place of Beginning, and containing 5. 591 acres, more or less, from District No. 1, First Dwelling House District to District No. 3, Apartment House District, and it is so ordained that said change be effective immediately.
