HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-0703 - Ordinance - 10/21/1970ORDINANCE NO. 703 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE QUESTION OF REZONING RESERVE E, A 5.881-ACRE TRACT IN THE PLANTATION OAKS SUBDIVISION WITHIN THE RICHARD CARTER LEAGUE, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF HWY. 30 AND THE EAST BY-PASS OF HWY. 6 FROM DISTRICT NO. 1 ( FIRST DWELLING HOUSE DISTRICT) AND DISTRICT NO. 3 (APARTMENT HOUSE DISTRICT) TO DISTRICT NO. 4, FIRST BUSINESS DISTRICT, AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that all land described herein be rezoned from District No. 1 (first dwelling house district) and District No. 3 ( apartment house district) to District No. 4, first business district, It is hereby ordered that a public hearing shall be held at the City Hall in College Station, Texas at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 23, 1970, on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits as follows: Reserve E in the Plantation Oaks Subdivision - P&Z Case No. 32-70: Being a 5.881 acre tract, more or less, in the Richard Carter League, Brazos County, Texas. Beginning at a point in the Northwest R. O. W. line of State Hwy. 30, said point being S 450 41' 30" W, 676. 891 from the intersection of the Northwest line of Hwy. 30 and the West line of Hwy. 6 By-pass. Thence S 450 41' 30" W, 410 feet along said Northwest line of Hwy. 30 to a point for corner; thence N 440 18' 30" W, 85. 08' to the point of curvature of a curve to the right having a radius of 9701; thence along said curve 133. 603' to the point of tangency; thence N 360 25' W, 195. 83' to a point for corner; thence N 450 41' 30" E, 703.10 to a point for corner; thence S 250 15' E, 273.221 to a poiriL for corder; thence S 130 W, 285.121 to the Place of Beginning, from District No. 1 (first dwelling house district.) and District No. 3 (apartment house district) to District No. 4, First Business District. Notice of said hearing shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of College Station at least three times, the first publication of which shall be not less than 15 days prior to the date fixed for the hearing.
