HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-0695 - Ordinance - 08/24/1970ORDINANCE NO. 695 AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE A 9.102 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE RICHARD CARTER LEAGUE, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AT THE INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAY 30 AND HIGHWAY 6 EAST BY-PASS, FROM DISTRICT NO. 1, FIRST DWELLING HOUSE DISTRICT TO DISTRICT NO. 4, FIRST BUSINESS DISTRICT, AND IS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 p.m. on August 24, 1970, on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits, AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of a tract of land being 9.102 acres, lying and being situated in the Richard Carter League, Brazos County, Texas, and being a part of the 153.69 acre tract conveyed to Albert Dominik, by Deed recorded in Volume 91, Page 83 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the Northwest R. O. W. Line of Highway 30 and the Southwest R. O. W. Line of Highway 6 East By-pass, said point being S 450 27' 53" W, 13. 11' from the intersection of the common line between the Albert Dominik 153.69 acre tract and the Joe Dominik 113. 62 acre tract and the Northwest R. O. W. Line of Highway 30; thence N 270 31' 33" W, 428. 611 along the Southwest R.O. W. of Highway 6; thence N 170 01' 40" W, 214. 191, continuing along the Southwest R. O. W. of Highway 6 to the intersection of the common line between the Joe Dominik and Albert Dominik tracts; thence N 250 04' 18" W, 191.421 along the common line between said Albert Dominik and Joe Dominik tracts to a point for corner; thence S 450 49' 30" W, 523. 75' to a point for corner; thence S 760 35' 28" E, 23. 27' to a point for corner; thence S 250 15' 00" E, 644. 32' to a point for corner; thence S 130 00' 00" W, 285.121 to a point for corner; thence N 450 41' 30" E, 676.891 to the Place of Beginning, from District No. 1, First Dwelling House District to District No. 4, First Business District, and it is so ordained that said change be effective immediately. The developer submit a detailed plat of each proposed development unit. The developer shall build a 6-foot solid fence separating the commercial area from the residential area before wiy commercial construction is initiated, or within two years, whichever is shorter.
