AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE QUESTION OF REZONING
A 13.736 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE RICHARD CARTER
LEAGUE, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AT THE INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAY #30 AND
HIGHWAY #6 BY-PASS, FROM DISTRICT NO. 1, FIRST DWELLING HOUSE DISTRICT TO
DISTRICT NO. 4, FIRST BUSINESS DISTRICT, AND IS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council, City of College Station, Texas:
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that 13.736
acres of land described herein be rezoned from District No. 1, first dwelling house district
to District No. 4, first business district.
It is hereby ordered that a public hearing shall be held at the City Hall in College
Station, Texas at 7:00 p. m. on July 27, 1970 on the question of rezoning areas within the
city limits as follows:
A tract of land being 13.736 acres, lying and being situated in the Richard Carter
League, Brazos County, Texas, and being a part of the 153. 69 acre tract conveyed to
Albert Dominik by Deed recorded in Volume 91, Page 83, of the Deed Records of Brazos
County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the inter-
section of the Northwest R. O. W. line of Hwy. 30 and the Southwest R. O. W. line of Hwy. 6,
said point being S 450 27' 53" W, 13. 11' from the intersection of the common line between
the Albert Dominik 153.69 acre tract and the Joe Dominik 113.62 acre tract, and the north-
west R. O. W. line of Hwy. 30; thence N 270 31' 33" W, 428. 61' along the southwest R. O. W.
of Hwy. 6; thence N 170 01' 40" W, 214.191 continuing along the Southwest R. O. W. of Hwy. 6
to the intersection of the common line between the Joe Dominik and Albert Dominik tracts;
thence N 250 08' 18" W, 516. 04' along the common line between said 801. 71 feet to a point
for corner; thence S 690 29' 17" E, 223. 26' to a point for corner; thence S 760 35' 28" E,
147. 70' to a point for corner; thence S 250 15' 00" E, 644.321 to a point for corner;
thence S 130 00' 00" W, 285.121 to a point for corner; thence N 450 41' 30" E, 676. 89' to the
Place of Beginning, containing 13. 736 acres of land, more or less, from District No. 1,
first dwelling house district to District No. 4, first business district.
Notice of said hearing shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in
the City of College Station at least three times, the first publication of which shall be not
less than 15 days prior to the date fixed for the hearing.
