The City Council may or may not attend the Historic Preservation Committee Regular Meeting,
1. Call to Order and announce a Quorum.
2. Possible action and discussion on absence requests.
3. Possible action and discussion of previous minutes.
4. Hear Visitors. Visitors after stating name and address for the record may address the Historic
Preservation Committee for three (3) minutes. Topics for deliberation shall be discussed under the
appropriate agenda item, placed on the agenda of a subsequent meeting, or assigned to staff for
research. However, a statement of specific factual information or the recitation of existing policy
may be issued.
5. Review, possible action, and discussion regarding the sub -committees and programs of the Historic
Preservation Committee, including:
• The American Mile at Veterans Park
• Historic Marker Program
• Oral History Transcription Project
• College Station Oral History Interviews & Educational Initiatives
• Exploring History Lunch Series
• New program plans (including Boonville Days participation)
• Project Hold report
6. Proposed amendment to the HPC ordinance,
7. Discussion and possible action on a 75' anniversary book.
8. Report by the Director of Parks and Recreation on matters pertaining to the Historic Preservation
Committee.
9. Identification of upcoming local or area historical programs or activities to be placed in a calendar
of events.
10. Presentation, possible action, and discussion on future agenda items - A Historic Preservation
Member may inquire about a subject for which notice has not been given. A statement of specific
factual information or the recitation of existing policy may be given. Any deliberation shall be
limited to a proposal to place the subject on an agenda for a subsequent meeting.
11. Presentation, possible action, and discussion of historical items presented by committee members,
which may include historical books, pictures, artifacts, scrapbooks, or other memorabilia. No action
will be taken.
12. Adjourn.

Texas will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 4 p.m. at the Municipal Court at 300 Krenek Tap Road, College
Station, Texas 77842. The following subjects will be discussed, to wit: See Agenda.
