HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-13-80-6 (2) - Resolution - 11/13/1980RESOLUTION NO. 11-13-80-6 the City of College Station Emergency Medical Service Division of the Fire Department does not handle out of county ambulance transport cases; and the City of Bryan Emergency Medical Service Division of the Fire Department does not handle out of county ambulance transport cases; and WHEREAS, WHEREAS, the responsibility for out of county ambulance transports lies largely with Medical Transfer Service; and there are a number of indigents who require a sepcial level of burn, poison, cardiac, neurological or neonatal care that is not available at locat hospitals; and WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of Brazos County to care for those indigent persons; and WHEREAS, the "welfare fund" of the Brazos County budget is only $2000.00 to handle the various needs of indigents; and WHEREAS, the $2000 for the Fiscal Year 1980-1981 has already been spent; NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION THAT a letter be written urging the Brazos County Commissioners to accept the responsibility to correct these problems and negociate the level of service with Mr. Bill Thornall of Medical Transfer Service.
