Agenda Item No. 1--Consideration of instituting annexation procedures in the following
territory.
Approximately 214 acres bounded by F.M. 158, S.H. 30, and the existing eastern-
most city limits line of the City of College Station common with the east
property line of a 250 acre tract owned by Texas Instruments, Inc.
A strip of land adjacent to and south of S.H. 30 from F.M. 158 to the city limits
line on Carter Creek and generally including only the first tract presently
subdivided south of S.H. 30.
Mayor Halter called the meeting to order.
He read a resolution to institute annexation procedures.
Councilman Kelly moved to adopt Resolution No. 09-15-80-01.
Councilman Runnels seconded the motion.
Councilman Dozier stated that he did not think annexation should take place at this
time. The City will lose money, and the land use controls are not needed yet.
The motion passed by the following vote:
For: Councilmen Ringer, Boughton, Kelly, Runnels, Mayor Halter
Against: Councilman Dozier.
Agenda Item No. 2--Adjourn.
The Mayor declared the meeting adjourned.
