Regular City Council Meeting
January 24, 1979

.Agenda Item No.1--Discussion of Utili_ty Rate Ordinances as proposed by Utility~ Rate_
Study Committee.
Councilman Ringer explained the study by the committee and presented the results to
the Council.
He answered questions and asked Mr. Van Dever to explain the problem with the present
penalty charge.
Van Dever answered questions, and the Council then decided to asses a 10% penalty
with a minimum of $4 after payment date.
Bill Sisson, Manager Briarwood Apartments, addressed the Council concerning the
R-1 subme tering.
The Staff and advisors were directed to consider Sisson's figures and suggestions,and
report back at the next meeting.
Councilman Ringer suggested a 10% penalty with a minimun of $3 after payment date
be assessed rather than the $4 previously discussed.
Agenda Item No.2--Discussion of financing, .~rpP.Osed Street Improvements.
City Manager Bardell presented and explained a list of the proposed street rebuilding
program.
Councilman Adams suggested that South Walton Drive be included in the list.
Councilman Dozier suggested that Nunn Street be included in the major rebuilding
category.
The meeting was declared adjourned.
