MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmen Ringer, Boughton, Halter, Jones, Adams, Mayor Bravenec, City Engineer Ash, City Planner Mayo, Community Development Planner Callaway, Assistant Planner Longley, Housing Development Coordinator Kee, Director of Public Works Ford, Fire Chief Landua, Fire Marshall Davis, Assist- ant City Manager, Finance Van Dever, City Manager Bardell MEMBERS ABSENT- Councilman Dozier VISITORS PRESENT: See guest register Agenda~Item No_. l_,-P~blic _Hea~ring p~..197.9-!980_ budget pr0posal~.. The Mayor divided the budget into operating budget and revenue sharing budget. Under operating budget, David Maxwell, President of the Arts Council said that the council, the Chamber of Commerce and the Information and Hospitality Center will make a presentation later. Shirley Platt, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, introduced Merle Garrett, the Vice Chairman for the Advisory Council for RSVP. She thanked the Council for past help and explained the prupose of RSVP. Dr. Linda Davis, Mental Health and Mental Retardation, explained her current budget and asked for $9,500 this year from the City. Linda Pringle, Bryan City Librarian, thanked the Council for the money last year and answered questions from the Councilmen. No one addressed the Council under Revenue Sharing. The Council decided to meet at Camp Creek on Saturday, June 2 at 9 am to further discuss the budget. The time was later changed to ~y 30 at 1 pm. He answered questions and offered suggestions for zoning problems. Agenda Item No. 3--Adjourn. The Mayor declared the meeting adjourned.
