Holt; Councilmen Larry Bravenec, Jim Gardner Don Dale; City Manager North Bardell; Assistant Director of Public Works George Ford; Administrative Secretary Sadie Holligan. MEMBERS ABSENT: Councilmen Dozier, Brison, Adams. VISITORS PRESENT: See guest register. The meeting convened at 4:00 P.M. Mr. Ford advised that the sanitary sewer line had been located with its center line approximately 6 feet northwest of the southeast line of the Arhopulos tract (Lot 33, D. A. Smith Subdivision). He also stated that apparently the blanket easement recorded in Volume 98, 230 of the Deed Records of Brazos County covered the R.E.A. power lines parallel to Texas Avenue and owned by the City of Bryan. Mr. Arhopulos, Mr. Chalon Jones and Mr. Pat Cooper discussed the situation with the Council. Councilman Dale moved and Councilman Gardner seconded ~'bat the Mayor be authorized to sign the necessary papers for granting a quit claim deed on the blanket easement recorded in Volume 98, Page 230 of the Brazos County Deed Records to the City of Bryan on Lot 33 of the D. A. Smith Subdivision. This is in consideration of the granting to the City of College Station an easement 7.5 feet wide covering existing water and sanitary sewer lines which lie parallel to the Southwest line of Lot 33 of the D. A. Smith subdivision and running from Texas Avenue to Eisenhower Street; and a 10 foot wide drainage easement from the point of an existing storm sewer to the open drainage ditch on the southwest line of Lot 33, D. A. Smith subdivision, being known as the Arhopulos tract. The motion passed unanimously. Councilman Bravenec moved and Councilman Gardner seconded that the meeting be adjourned. However, the best solution to our pro~£em wou£d ~e to place the sign within 8 inches oi' the west proper~y line.
