Mayor Hervey called the special meeting to order at 4:00 P.M. in the Council Room
of the College Station City Hall. Mayor Hervey explained that the main purpose of
the meeting was to brief the Council members and Planning and Zoning Commission
members on the Agency Records Control, Inc. 's proposal to establish their business
in College Station. In the discussion, it was generally agreed by the members of the
City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission that this was a clean industry and
the type of industry which should be encouraged.
The question of a water line extension to the proposed development located on the
east side of the east loop was discussed at length. Councilman Radeleff moved that
the water line, if extended, must be of sufficient size to serve the development
and that the cost would be borne by the developer, and that the minimum size of the
water line shall be six inches. The motion, seconded by Councilman Bonnen,
was unanimously approved.
As there was no other business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 6-00 P.M.
by Mayor Hervey.
