Present:
Mayor D. A. Anderson; Councilmen Bill J. Cooley, James H. Dozier,
Joseph J. McGraw, Cecil B. Ryan, Dan R. Davis, C. H. Ransdell; City
Manager Ran Boswell; City Secretary Sue Gough; City Engineer Lloyd James;
City Planner George Eby; Director of Public Works L. P. Dulaney; Bennie
[.uedke, Water & Sewer Department; Alfred Miller, Street-Sanitation-Parks
& Cemetery Departments; Electrical Consultant John Dennison.

Mayor Anderson called the meeting to order at 7.00 P. M. in the Council Room at City Hall.
Discussion was held on an ordinance pertaining to garbage rates. Following discussion of
rates Mayor Anderson made the recommendation that the ordinance be passed, with instructions
to City Manager Boswell to secure additional information for rate adjustments for the largest
customers and prepare an amendment to be presented at the next meeting.
Councilman Ryan moved for the adoption of Ordinance No. 726 with an amendment that adjust-
ments be considered at the next meeting. Motion was seconded by Councilman Dozier. Motion
carried unanimously.
Mayor Anderson opened the floor to the citizens present to discuss the proposed bond issue.
Mrs. C, J. Leabo, president of the League of Women Voters requested the City Council
consider holding the bond election with the April 6 municipal election.
Following lengthy discussions on the various proposals of the bond issue to be presented to
the citizens, motion was made by Councilman McGraw that the bond election be scheduled
at the same time as the City election, April 6, 1971. Motion was seconded by Councilman
Dozier. Motion carried unanimously.
City Council members called for a Special Meeting to be held March 9, 1971 to further discuss
the bond election and policy for the construction of storm drainage facilities for the city.
Meeting was adjourned, subject to call. (9:30 P.M.)

TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that I hereby call a
special meeting of the Council of the City of College
Station, Texas, to be held at the City Hall of said
City at 5:00 o'clock P.M., on the 9th day of Mar~h,
1971, for the purpose, among others, of adopting an
ordinance calling a bond election in and for said City.
