CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
CITY OF COLLEGE STATION
November 4, 1971
5:00 P.M.

The meeting was called to order at 5:00 P.M. by Mayor Pro Tern Brison. Mr.
Brison read a letter of resignation from Councilman James H. Dozier. Councilman
moved tha~ this council commend Mr. Dozier for his fight right up to the last and hope
that the people in this same situation will keep up this fight. On motion by Councilman
Bonnen, seconded by Councilman Lindsay, Councilman Dozier's resignation was
unanimous ly accepted.
On motion by Councilman Radeleff, seconded by Councilman Bonnen, Ordinance
No. 792, an ordinance ordering a special municipal election in the City of College
Station on Tuesday, December 14, 1971 for the election of a councilman to fill a
vacancy created by the resignation of James H. Dozier for the period ending with the
municipal election of April 4, 1972; fixing the time, place and manner of holding the
election and appointing judges and clerks thereof, was unanimously approved.
On motion by Councilman Bonnen, seconded by Councilman Dale, the Council approved
that the City pay for the utilities for one year, ending with the fiscal year 08/31/72, for
the Community House, Inc., 400 Holleman Drive, College Station.
On motion by Councilman Bonnen, seconded by Councilman Dale, the meeting was
adjourned subject to call.
