CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS
April 18, 1969
Members Present: Mayor D. A. Anderson; Councilmen C. H. Ransdell,
Dan R. Davis, O. M. Holt, Joseph J. McGraw,
James H. Dozier and Bill J. Cooley; City Manager
Ran Boswell
Members Absent: City Secretary Lynda Swoveland
Visitors: John Denison, Codie Wells and A. C. Johnson
The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. in the Council Room of the
City of College Station, Texas.
On motion by Councilman Holt, seconded by Councilman Dozier, Mr. Denison's
report was accepted. He was highly complimented for his work on the report. Motion
carried unanimously.
Mr. Codie Wells, Consulting Engineer, presented an Engineering Report on
Water Main Extensions and Sewerage and Sewage Treatment Facilities. On motion by
Councilman McGraw, seconded by Councilman Davis, the City Manager was authorized
to execute and file an application on behalf of the City of College Station, Texas with
the Economic Development Administration through the Brazos Valley Development
Council, for a grant to aid in financing the construction of water mains, sewerage
facilities and sewage treatment plant. Motion carried unanimously.
On motion by Councilman Holt, seconded by Councilman Dozier, the City
Manager was authorized to execute and file an application on behalf of the City of
College Station, Texas with the Texas Water Quality Board, through the Brazos
Valley Development Council, for a grant to aid in financing the construction of water
mains, sewerage facilities and sewage treatment plant. The estimated cost on the
projects is in the amount of $625, 000. Motion carried unanimously.
On motion by Councilman Dozier, seconded by Councilman McGraw, the Mayor
was authorized to file an application on behalf of the City of College Station, Texas
with the Criminal Justice Council of Texas, through the Brazos Valley Development
Council, for Preliminary Action Grant Funds. Total cost of the program is in the
amount of $22, 080.46.
