City of College Station
December 8, 1967
Members present: Mayor Anderson, Councilmen Rosprim, Boyett, Cooley, Adams,
Rhodes, and Holt, and City Manager Boswell.
Visitors present: Melvin Luedke, N. B. Bardell, Codie Wells, Grady Parker,
Tommie Preston, Jim R. Gardner, T. W. Stallworth, Larry Goodman, and John
Duff.
Chief of Police Luedke discussed the need of additional personnel in the
Police Department and the purchase of a radar unit.
On motion of Councilman Holt, seconded by Councilman Boyett, the employment
of two additional policemen was authorized.
On motion of Councilman Boyett, seconded by Councilman Holt, the City Manager
was authorized to purchase a radar unit for the Police Department.
Members of the firm, Southwest Planning Associates, presented an outline of
the College Station zoning°°study. The purpose of this meeting was to dis-
cuss consultant's approach, review of progress to date, and interchange
ideas. This was the first of three (3) work sessions with representatives
of the City in accordance with the planning consultant's proposal. It was
agreed that the next work session would be in the latter part of January
at which time a draft of a proposed zoning ordinance will be presented.
The meeting adjourned subject to call.
