Visitors present: William H. Allio, Mr. & Mrs, Edward H. Miller, D. A. Anderson, Mike Berry, A. L. Giesenschlag, C. E. Ruch, James L. Glenn, N. B. Bardell, C. E. Gregory, Robert Stewart, Elton Jones. City Secretary Manning was excused from this meeting. Minutes of. previous meeting were approved, On motion by Councilman Orr, 40k, an ordinance amending Section was passed and approved. V. Disposition of Animals seconded by Councilman Boyett, Ordinance No. V. of Ordinance No. 356 to read as follows Upon taking possession of the animal the officer shall take the animal to the animal shelter previously designated for that purpose. If the owner of the animal is known or can be obtained with reasonable effort, the officer after depositing the animal at the animal shelter will give notice to the owner by mail or telephone that the animal has been placed in the animal shelter where the owner may reclaim the animal. A motion by Councilman Orr, seconded by Councilman Boyett, that Section II of Ordinance No. 356 be changed to read as follows: II. Animals and Fowl not to be Permitted to Run at Large. (a) No person owning or having in his custody animals or fowls shall permit the same to go at large to the injury or annoyance of others nor shall such animals or fowls be permitted at large upon the streets or other ways of the city. (b) The act of allowing animals or fowls to run at large, whether committed by accident or design, is hereby declared to be a misdeameanor, which, upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine of not more than $5.00. was withdrawn after discussion. The city attorney was instructed to study Ordinance No. 356, Section II, with regard to imposition of charges or fine involved in the matter of picking up dogs. The Qity manager was instructed to invite the Commissionerls Court of Brazos County to attend the next regular meeting of the council, or a special meeting if such is found to be desireable. A public hearing was called on the question of rezoning Lots 1 through 5 and Lots 16 through 20, Block 2, Tauber Addition, presently zoned as District No. 2, Second Dwelling House District, to District No. 3, Apartment House District. There were no objections and the mayor declared the hearing closed. A On motion by Councilman Holt, seconded by Councilman Rosprim, Ordinance No. 4AII an ordinance rezoning this area was passed and approved. A public hearing was called on the question of rezoning Lots 4, 5, 16, 17,, Block /+, Tauber Addition, presently zoned as District No. 2, Second Dwelling $ House District, to District No. 3, Apartment House District. There were no objections and the mayor declared the hearing closed. On motion by Councilman Holleman, seconded by Councilman Rosprim, Ordinance No. 4.42, an ordinance rezoning this area was passed and approved. ELJ On motion by Councilman Holleman, seconded by Councilman Holt, Ordinance IaJ No. 443, an ordinance providing for a public hearing on the question of rezoning t� Lots 2 and 3, Block 2, Kapchinski Addition, presently zoned as District No. 11 CO First Dwelling House District, to District No. 4, First Business District, was passed and approved, and a public hearing set for 7:00 p.m., November -22P 1965. On motion by Councilman Holt, seconded by Councilman Holleman, the city 0 manager was instructed to make certain repairs on Haines Drive with hot -mix 0 surface, the cost of such construction to approximate $2,000. 03 Council adjourned subject to call.
