Members present: Mayor Langford; Councilmen Landiss, Anderson, Boyett, Rosprim;
City Manager Boswell; City Attorney Dillon
Visitors present: Mrs. Emma Wilson, Lewis Westbrook, Charles Scasta, W. D. Fitch
Purpose of meeting was public hearing on street improvements and closing
public hearing on street improvements.
On motion of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman Landiss, Ordinance
No. 319, an ordinance closing hearing and levying assessments for a part of the
cost of improving a portion of Foster Avenue, Moss Avenue, Church Avenue, Thomas
Street and sundry other streets and places in the City of College Station, Texas,
and providing for the collection of such assessments, and the issuance of assign-
able certificates in evidence thereof, and declaring an emergency was passed
and approved,
On motion of Councilman Boyett, seconded by Councilman Rosprim, Ordinance
No. 320, an ordinance closing hearing and levying assessments for a part of the
cost of improving a portion of Second Street, Tauber Street, Stasney Street,
Cross Street, Cherry Street and sundry other streets and places in the City of
College Station, Texas, and providing for the collection of such assessments
and for the issuance of assignable certificates in evidence thereof, and declar-
ing an emergency was passed and approved.
On motion of Councilman Boyett, seconded by Councilman Anderson, the mas-
ter preliminary plat of "The Glade," a proposed subdivision of the City of Col-
lege Station, was approved contingent upon certain changes being made as indi-
cated thereon, and filed with the city manager.
The council adjourned subject to call.
