A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF THE PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 1200 FOSTER STREET, BEING LOT NUMBER SIX IN
BLOCK NUMBER NINE, COLLEGE HILLS ESTATES, SECOND INSTALL-
MENT, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS
COUNTY, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station
has acquired certain properties on Foster Street for the
expansion of City Hall and related facilities thereto; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the necessity for
the acquisition of Lot Six, Block Nine of College Hills
Estates, Second Installment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION:
1. That the public good requires the acquisition of Lot Six,
Block Nine, College Hills Estates, Second Installment, an
addition to the City of College Station, for public purposes,
including the expansion of City Hall and Fire Station Number
One, together with incident parking and storage space;
2. That the City staff and City Attorney are instructed to
take steps to obtain good title to same within due time and
course, and that the City Attorney is hereby authorized to
institute condemnation proceedings to obtain such property
free and clear of any restrictions inimical to or inconsis-
tent with the City's intended uses therefor.
