Agenda Item ~o. 1 - Council Concerns. Councilman Boughton commended the staff on the recent maintenance construction on Cooner Street. ~ayor Halter presented a letter to the council which included proposals from the Department of History at Texas A&~ University supporting the initiation of a College Station History Project. Mayor I]alter suggested that the City participate in the project and that the history council committee, consisting of '~ayor l!alter, Councilman Boughton, and Councilman gunnels, meet to discuss the project further. l~ayor Halter stated that he has been seeking an individual to organize a Goals Session and Retreat for the College Station City Council. ~e will try to contact the City of Bryan for information on individuals who performed a similar service for them. AQenda Item ~Io. 2 - Consideration of a request for transfer from contiggenc~ to cover additional cost of audit. Asst. City Manager/Finance Director VamP, ever stated that this ite~n would be considered With other contingency transfer requests at the Regular City Council ~.~eeting of June 24, 19~2. Agenda Item ~o. 3 - Discussion of future policy concerning gas service lines on ~rivate ~ropert¥. City £1anaqer Bardell presented the item. i~e reviewed the current Lone Star Gas Franchise policy that states Lone Star Gas Company shall be liable for maintenance of gas lines up to the metering point. An overall service charge will be directly billed to the customer each year for this service. Ail council .~]embers agreed. AQenda Item IJo. 4 - General discussion of budget of FY 19~12-~13. 'layor []alter stated that this item was included on the agenda for further discussion of the proposed budget. The council and staff had no questions. Agenda Item 'lo. 5 - Closed session to discuss personnel [6252-17(g)~.. The council moved to closed session and later reopened to the public. Agenda Item ~o. 6 - Action on closed session.
