SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
MONDAY, AUGUST 15, 1983
4:00 P.M.

Agenda Item No. 1 - Consideration of a Resolution qoncernin~ ballot serial
numbers for August 13, 1983 Special Election.
City Secretary Jones presented the item.
Councilman Anderson moved approval of Resolution No. 8-15-83-1.
Councilman Reinke seconded the motion which passed unanimously, 4-0.
A~enda Item No. 2 - Canvassing of election returns.
City Secretary Jones presented the item.
Councilman Reinke moved approval of the report of the number of ballots
cast at each precinct and the total number of votes for or against each
question at each precinct.
Councilman McIlhaney seconded the motion which passed unanimously, 4-0.
Councilman Anderson moved approval of Resolution No. 8-15-83-2.
Councilman McIlhaney seconded the motion which passed unanimously, 4-0.
Agenda Item No. 3 - Consideration of results of Bond Election.
Mr. R. David Fetzer, President of Moroney, Beissner & Co., Inc., presented
the item.
Councilman Anderson questioned the wording used on page seven the fifth
item, "or take any other action".

Assistant City Attorney Locke asked if that language was typically used.
Mr. Fetzer replied affirmatively to that question.
Councilman Anderson moved approval of Ordinance No. 1443 canvassing the
returns and declaring the results of the Bond Election.
Councilman McIlhaney seconded tho motion which passed unanimously, 4-0.
Agenda Item No. 4 - Consideration of results of election to amend Ci~
Charter.
Assistant City Attorney Locke presented the item.
Councilman Reinke moved approval of Ordinance No. 1444 approving the
returns of the August 13th Election for the purpose of amending the City
Charter, and making findings as to the amendments which passed, ordering
the changes to the City Charter as approved by the voters at such Election,
and directing the City Secretary to accomplish the printing and
distribution of same.
Councilman McIlhaney seconded the motion which passed unanimously, 4-0.
