HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-1487 - Ordinance - 12/08/1983ORDINANCE NO. 1487 AN ORDINANCE REZONING A PART OF THE SHENANDOAH SUBDIVISION AND FIVE (5) TRACT5 OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE ROBERT STEVENSON LEAGUE A-54 BRAZOS COUNTY, COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, AND BEING HORE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THE BOOY OF THIS OROINANCE, FROH AGRICULTURE-OPEN 5PACE DISTRICT A-O TO SINGLE FAHILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-I, NEIGH- BORHOO0 BUSINESS DISTRICT C-N, PLANNED COMMERCIAL OISTRICT C-3, AND ADMINISTRATIVE- PROFESSIONAL DISTRICT A-P. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the Clty Council held a public hearing in the Clty Hall at 7:00 P.N. on Thurs- day, Dec(~aber 8, 1983, on the question of rezoning certain areas wlthln the Clty Limits; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determlned the followlng: To rezone or change the classification of a part of the Shenandoah Subdivision and five (5) tracts of land lylng and being situated in the Robert Stevenson League, A-Sh, Brazos County, College Statlon, Texas, belng a part of that 159.3813 acre tract conveyed to J. Spencer Wendt, Trustee, by Robert Wood et-al, by deed recorded In volume 5q5, page 694 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being a part of the plat recorded in Volume 590 Page 251 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, and all being more fully described as follows: TRACT NO. 1 (a part of the Shenandoah Subdivision) All lots and property In Shenandoah Phase 1, save and except the lots in the Planned Unlt Development, and the tracts labeled on the plat "Reserved for Future Resubdivision', from Agriculture-Open Space Olstrlct A-O to Single Family Residential District R-1. Spencer Wendt, Trustee, by Robert Wood et-al, by deed recorded in Volume 545, page 694 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more partlcularly described as follows: COMMENCING; at the north corner of said 159.3813 acre tract; same being in the southwest rlght-of-way line of State Hwy 6; THENCE: S 44058'42" W - 110.02 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING; THENCE: S 46°00'28" E - 519.83 feet to a point for corner; THENCE: S 45002'26" W - 183.39 feet to a point for corner; THENCE: N 44°57'3q'' W - 519.55 feet to a point for corner; THENCE: N q4°58'q2" E - 173.88 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING; and containing 2.13 acres of land, more or less, according to a survey made under the supervision of Donald O. Spencer Wendt, Trustee, by Robert Wood et-al, by deed recorded in Volume 545, Page 694 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more partlcularly descrlbed as follows; COMMENCING; at the east corner of said 159.3813 acre tract, same being in the south- west right-of-way llne of State Hwy 6; THENCE: S 45°02'26'' W - 110.02 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING: THENCE: S 45002'26" W - 198.8~ feet to a point for corner; THENCE: N 44057'34" w - 473.78 feet to a point for corner; THENCE: N 45°02'26" E - 190.17 feet to a polnt for corner; THENCE: S 46000'28" E - 473.86 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING; and containing 2.12 acres of land, more or less, according to a survey made under the supervision of Donald D.
