HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-1475 - Ordinance - 11/22/1983ORDINANCE NO. 1475 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4, ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS SECTION 13C OF THE CODE OF STATION, TEXAS, RELATING TO BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, that Chapter 4, Section 13C of the Code of Ordinances of the City of College Station, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 13C: PENALTIES Violation of this section is punishable by a fine of not less than Fifty ($50.00) Dollars and not more than One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollars. However, if the penalty provision of this Section is invalid in that it is beyond the scope of the authority of the City to enact a penalty provision for more than Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars for the violation of this ordinance, then this ordinance shall be valid in all other respects, and the maximum fine shall be Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars. Each day which a violation occurs shall constitute a separate offense. This section may be enforced by the City in equity through the issuance of injunctive process or other order of any state court having jurisdiction over such suits." II.
