AN ORDINANCE REZONING TWO TRACTS OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE ROBERT STEVEN-
SON LEAGUE A-54 IN BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, AND BEING HORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY HETES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROR AGRICULTURE-
OPEN DISTRICT A-O TO GENERAL COR~ERCIAL DISTRICT C-1; AND THE REZONING OF BLOCK 3 LOTS
11 THROUGH 13, BLOCK 4 LOTS 30 THROUGH 35, BLOCK 5 LOTS 40 THROUGH 50, AND BLOCK 9 LOTS 7
THROUGH 12 OF THE NEWLY ANNEXED COURTLAND SUBDIVISION FROH AGRICULTURE-OPEN DISTRICT A-O
TO SINGLE FAHILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-IA; AND, THE BALANCE OF THE COURTLAND SUBDIVISION,
SAVE AND EXCEPT THE ABOVE HENTIONED BLOCK 3 LOTS 11 THROUGH 13, BLOCK 4 LOTS 30 THROUGH
35, BLOCK 5 LOTS 40 THROUGH 50; AND BLOCK 9 LOTS 7 THROUGH 12 FROH AGRICULTURE-OPEN
DISTRICT A-O TO SINGLE FARILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-1.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Councll held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.H. on Thursday,
November 10~ 1983, on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city
limits;
AND, ~IEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classiflcation of the following two (2) tracts of land all lying
and being situated In the Robert Stevenson League A-54 in Brazos County, City of College
Station, Texas, and being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows:
TRACT NO. 1
Being all of that certain tract or parcel of land, lylng and being situated
in the Robert Stevenson Leagus A-54, in Brazos County, Texas; descrlbed as follows:
BEGINNING; at the north corner of Lot 50, Block 5, COURTLAND PHASE I;
THEI!CE: N 56°07~22" E - 34.01 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE: N 44001'56''
THENCE: S 45058'05"
THENCE: S 40°15'26''
THENCE: S 45o58'04''
THENCE: N 78°07'09''
E - 310.00 feet to a point for corner;
E - 670.00 feet to a point for corner;
E - 201.00 feet to a point for corner;
E - 127.20 feet to a point for corner;
W - 336.83 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE: S 52°35'41.. W - 185.97 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE: N 42°40'O1'' W - 692.61 feet to the PLACE OF BEGI/INING; and containing
6.5104 acres of land, more or less, according to a survey made under the supervision of
Donald D. Garrett, Registered Public Surveyor, No. 2972 in October 1983, from Agriculture-
Open District A-O to Genera! Commercial District C-1.

Being all of that certain tract or parce] of land, lyinq and belnq situated
in the Robert Stevenson League A-54, in Brazos County, Texas;

THENCE: S h5°22'41" W - 545.12 feet to a point for corner:
THENCE: N q3°29~32'' W - q3~.65 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING; and containing
4.5232 acres of land, more or less, according to a survey made under the supervision of
Donald O. Garrett, Registered Public Surveyor, No. 2972 in October 1983, from Agriculture-
Open Olstrict A-O to General Commercial Olstrlct C-I,
ANO, WHEREAS the City Councll has also determined the following:
To rezone or change the classiflcation of Block 3 Lots 11 through 13, Block q Lots 30
through 35, Block 5 Lots 40 through 50, and Block 9 Lots 7 through 12 of the newly annexed
Courtland Subdlvlslon from Agriculture-Open District A-O to Single Family Resldentlal
District R-lA.
AND, WHEREAS, the Clty Council has also determined the following:
To rezone or change the classlfication of the balance of the Courtland Subdivision, save
and except Block 3 Lots 11 through 13, Block 4 Lots 30 through 35, Block 5 Lots 40 through
50 and Block 9 Lots 7 through 12, from Agriculture-Open Olstrict A-O to Single Family
Resldential Olstrlct R-I.
And, it Is ordained that said changes shall become effective upon the filing of the
subdlvlslon plat at the Office of the County Clerk, in and for Brazos County, Texas.
