HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-1462 - Ordinance - 10/13/1983ORDINANCE NO. 1462 AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS= WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing at City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on September 1, 1983, and the City Council has held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on September 8, 1983, on the question of receiving certain territory into the city limits; and WHEREAS, the City Council has heard all parties pertaining thereto, and has determined the following; That upon compliance with Article II, Section 7, of the City Charter and applicable laws of the State of Texas, the following territory shall be incorporated within the city limits: TRACT O Being approximately a 225 acre tract of land partially located in the Thomas Caruthers Survey A-9, the N. Clampitt Survey A-90, and the S.W. Robertson Survey A-202, being contiguous to the existing city limits of College Station, Texas at ~ts westerly end and being comprised of separate tracts of land more fully described as follows: Tract No. 1 All of a five hundred foot (500)' wide tract situated two hundred fifty feet (250') each side of the center line of Rock Prairie Road. Beginning at a point on the center line of Rock Prairie Road, said point being approximately two thousand eight hundred feet (2,800') from the easterly right-of-way of State Highway 6, but more especially at the intersection of the most easterly line of a tract of land of Joe Ferreri recorded in the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, Volume 292, Page 190, and the center line of said Rock Prairie Road; Thence, easterly along the center line of Rock Prairie Road to the point of its intersection with the projection of the northerly right-of-way line of Greens Prairie Road, said area being a part of the following parcels recorded in the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas which lie along and are contiguous with Rock Prairie Road: Ordinance No. 1462 Page 2 Owner Dale N. Tract No. 3 All of a two hundred fifty foot (250') wide strip of land along the northerly side of and parallel to the center line of Rock Prairie Road, beginning at the intersection of the center line of said Rock Prairie Road with the projection of the northerly right-of-way line of Greens Prairie Road. Thence along and parallel to the center line of Rock Prairie Road to the easterly most property line of a tract of Lewis L. APPROVED.: , GARY I{ALT, ER, "MAYOR ATTE ST: ~ity Secr~7~ry Exhibit "A" SERVICE PLAN To Whom It May Concern: This document addresses the extension of Municipal Services within a 324.32 acre tract located in the Thomas Caruthers League, the N. Clampitt League, and the S. W. Robertson League adjacent to and south of the current city limits and as described more fully in the ordinance of annexation. The City Council of the City of College Station, by action on OctobeF 13, lg83,and prior to the passage of the ordinance of annexation of the above-named tract, did approve Resolution No. 10-13-83-04 , entitled A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A PLAN OF SERVICE FOR ANNEXATION OF '~5~0 ACRES ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 6 TO THE SOUTH OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS. Said Resolution, duly recorded in the official MINUTES RECORDS of the City of College Station and available for viewing in the office of the City Secretary, provides for the extension of municipal services into this area, as prescribed by the provisions of Article 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, as amended by HB-1952. Section 1. of RESOLUTION NO. 10-13-83-04 plan for providing the following services: presents a a. Police b. Fire c. Emergency medical d. Water e. Sewers f. Electrical g. Refuse collection h. Streets 1. Inspection j. Planning and zoning k. Street lighting 1. Recreation m. Miscellaneous (street name signs) RESOLUTION NO. 10-13-83-04 explains the extension plan and provides complete information relating to each of the above-named municipal services.
