AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF JUDGES OR ALTERNATE
JUDGE TO SERVE IN CONNECTION WITH THE ELECTION ON AUGUST 13, 1983
Whereas, Ordinance No. 1427, passed and approved on the 9th
day of June, 1983, provided for the submission of amendments to
the City Charter of the City of College Station, Texas, at an
election to be held August 13, 1983, and provided for election
judges and alternative, and
Whereas, certain judges or alternates named therein may not
be available to serve on the date of said election, and
Whereas, Article 3.01, Texas Election Code, provides that
the City Council shall have the authority to provide for Judges
and Alternate Judges as necessary.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
That Nancy Morrison is hereby removed as Alternate Judge for
Precinct 33 and is hereby displaced as the alternate for
Presiding Judge Harrison Hierth. Dan R. Davis is hereby
authorized and approved as the Alternate Judge in Precinct 33 and
is designated as Alternate Judge for Presiding Judge Harrison
Hierth.
