AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10, SECTION 3 OF THE COLLEGE STATION CODE OF ORDINANCES
RELATING TO SPEED ZONES AND SPECIFICALLY DESIGNATING ADDITIONAL AREA IN THE CITY OF
COLLEGE STATION IN WHICH RATES OF SPEED OF THIRTY (30) MILES PER HOUR OE MORE ARE AUTHORIze
RESCINDING ALL PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND DECLARING THAT ATTENDANT
FACTS NECESSITATE IMMEDIATE ACTION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION:
That any and all ordinances or parts of ordinances relating to speed zones on F.M.2818
in the City of College Station are hereby rescinded, and that the following Sub-Section 2.g
shall be added to Chapter 10, Section 3 of the College Station Code of Ordinances.
(g)
FM 2818, for traffic moving in a Southerly direction for the first 3.697 miles
from the North City Limit, the speed llmit sha]l be fifty-five (55) miles per
hour. For the next 0.200 mile the speed limit shall be fifty (50) miles per
hour. For the next 0.370 mile the speed limit shall be forty-five (45) miles
per hour. For the next 0.950 mile the speed limit shall be fifty (50) miles
per hour. Within the limits of said fifty (50) miles per hour speed zone from
approximately 190~ North of Welsh Ave., to approxlmately 220~ South of Nueces
Drive, the speed llmit shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour when so signed
for school zone. For the next 0.470 mile the speed llmit shall be forty-five
(45) miles per hour. For the next 0.250 mile, to the intersection of LP 507,
the speed limit shall be forty (40) miles per hour.
For traffic moving in a Northerly direction, for the first 0.250 mile from
the intersection of LP 507, the speed limlt shall be forty (40) miles per hour.
For the next 0.470 mile the speed limlt shall be forty-five (45) miles per hour.
For the next 0.950 mile the speed limit shall be fifty (50) miles per hour.

220~ South of Nueces Drive, to approximately 190~ North of Welsh Ave., the speed
llmit shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour when so signed for school zone.
For the next 0.370 mile the speed limit shall be forty-five (45) miles per hour.
For the next 0.200 mile the speed limit shall be fifty (50) miles per hour.
For the next 3.697 mile, to the North City Limit, the speed Timit shall be fifty-
five (55) miles per hour.

in the City of College Sta~ion are hereby rescinded, and that the fo]lowing Sub-Section 2.h
shall be added to Chapter 10, Section 3 or the College Station Code of Ordinances.

FM 2347, for traffic moving in an Easterly direction for the first 0.350 mile

For traffic moving in a Westerly direction, for the first 1.450 miles from the
intersection of LP 507, the speed limit shall be forty (40) mi]es per hour.

For the next 0.200 mile the speed limit shall be forty-five ihs) miles per
hour. For the next 0.670 mile the speed llmit shall be fifty (50) miles per
hour. For the next 0.200 mile the speed limit shall be forty-five ihs) miles
per hour. For the next 0.350 mile, to Easterwood Airport, the speed llmlt shall
be thirty-five (35) miles per hour.
III.
WHEREAS, the preservation of the general welfare of the public necessitates immediate
action, this Ordinance sha]l be effective from and after the date or its passage as providec
by the Charter of the City of College Station.
