HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-1418 - Ordinance - 04/14/1983OP, DIIIANCE NO. 1418 AN ORDINANCE REZONING 6.330 ACRES OF A 9.111 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING AND BEING SIT= UATED IN THE RICHARD CARTER LEAGUE, A-8, COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS FROH GENERAL COMHERCIAL OISTRICT C-1 TO CO~IHERCIAL INOUSTRIAL DISTRICT C-2. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.H. on Thursday, April 14, 1983 on the question of rezoning certain areas wlthin the city limits; AND, WHEREAS, the City Councll has determined the following: To rezone or change the classlfication of the following tract of land lying and being situated in the Richard Carter Leagus, A-8, College Station, Brazos County, Texas and being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: Being a 6.330 Acres tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the Richard Carter League, A-8, College Station, Brazos County, Texas, and being part of a 9.111 acres tract conveyed to Frank Thurmond, Jr., from Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation by Deed recorded in Volume ~10, Page ~8! of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: COMMENCING at a concrete monument found marking the intersection of the northeast right-of-way llne of State Highway No. 6 East By-Pass and the northwest right-of-way llne of State Highway No. 30; THENCE N 33°17'26'' W, along the northeast right-of-way line of said State Highway No. 6 East By-Pass, a distance of 350.22 feet to an iron rod set for PLACE OF BEGINNING: THENCE continue N 33°17~26'' W, along the northeast right-of-way line of said State Highway No. 6 East By-Pass, a distance of 15.00 feet to a concrete right-of-way marker found for angle point; THENCE N h1°07'00', W, along the northeast right-of-way line of said State Highway No. 6 East By-Pass, a distance of 297.03 feet to an iron rod found for corner; THENCE N ~2°18'37'' E, along the northwest line of the aforementioned 9.111 acres tract a distance of 70h.38 feet to an iron rod found for corner; THENCE 5 33013' 01"E, along the northeast line of said 9.111 acres tract, a dis- tance of q65.00 feet to an iron rod set for corner; THENCE across the said 9.]ll acres tract for the following calls: S h2_18 37" W, a d~stance of 260 O0 feet to an iron rod set for anele oint u · P ; S ~3_q3'~9~' W, a distance of 200.97 feet to an iron rod set for co~ner' N ~3ol~ 02 W, a d~stance of lbO.lO feet to an ~ron rod set for corner; S 42 1§'37" W, a distance of 200.00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, and containing 6.330 acres of land, more or less from General Commercial District C-I to Commercial Industrial Oistrlct C-2. AND THAT an acceptable subdivision plat for the entire 9.111 acre tract be submitted and approved prior to development. And, it is ordained that sald changes shall become effective immediately.
