Aqenda Item No. 1 - Approval of the minutes of the City Council
Workshop Megtin~, March 26, 1986 and the City Council Regular
Meeting, March 27, 1986.
Councilman Runnels moved approval of the minutes of the City
Council Workshop Meeting, March 26, 1986 and the City Council
Regular Meeting, March 27, 1986.
Councilman McIlhaney seconded the motion which was approved
unanimously, 7-0.
Agenda Item No. 2 - Presentation of Service Plaques to City
Council members.
Mayor Halter presented service plaques to Councilman Runnels,
Councilman Boughton and Councilman McIlhane¥ for their time and
dedication put forth as members of the City Council and in
recognition of their recently completed terms.
Councilman Boughton presented Mayor Halter with a service plaque
for his dedication to the City as Mayor for the past 6 years.
Mayor Halter asked for a brief recess before the new council-
members were sworn into office.

A. genda Item No. 3 - Swearing in of new Cit~; Council members.
Presentation of Certificates of Election.
With City Judge Phil Banks officiating, the oath of office was
taken by Dr. Larry J. Ringer as Mayor; Sara Goode Jones,
Councilman Place 2; Patricia Boughton, Councilman Place 4; and
Dick Haddox, Councilman Place 6.
Mayor Ringer presented the new Councilmembers with their Cer-
tificates of Election.
Mayor Ringer presented Gary Halter with a Resolution and a
special plaque of appreciation for his dedication and service
during his tenure as City Councilman for five years and Mayor for
six years.
Agenda Item No. 4 - Hear Visitors
No one spoke.
Mayor Ringer thanked the persons responsible for picking up
candidate signs on Sunday morning after the election.
Agenda Item No. 5 - Closed session to discuss pending litigation
[6252-17 (2)(e)].
The council moved to closed session.
Agenda Item No. 6 - Action on closed session.
No action was taken in closed session.
AGenda Item No. 7 - Adjourn.
Mayor Ringer adjourned the meeting at 9:00 p.m.
