MENTAL AND CONSUMER HEALTH SERVICES INSPECTIONS WITHIN THE
CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, AND AUTHORIZING THE BRAZOS COUNTY
HEALTH DEPARTMENT TO PROVIDE RETAIL FOOD, DAY CARE CENTER(S),
AND NON-RESIDENTIAL NON-GOVERNMENTAL SWIMMING POOL(S) INSPEC-
PECTION SERVICES.
WHEREAS, Environmental and Consumer Health Services Inspections
are a vital part of the overall health maintenance of
the community; and,
WHEREAS, the City of College Station has contracted with the
County Health Unit for health inspection services with-
in the city limits; and,
WHEREAS, the fees charged have become incapable of sustaining
the desired level of inspection services so as to
protect the community; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the vital public interest to provide
operation of public health inspection services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT hereby resolved by the City Council of
the City of College Station, Texas,
THAT, the following rates are hereby established for annual
permits for the inspection of and regulation of health inspec-
tion services within the City of College Station:

THAT the Brazos County Health Department is hereby authorized
to provide inspection services for eating and/or drinking estab-
lishments, schools, soft serve machines, retail food establish-
ments, day care centers, and non-residential swimming pools,
such enumeration not to be considered as an exclusive listing.
THAT an applicant for a food service permit who is establishing
a new business during the year may have the fee prorated, upon
request, on a monthly proration basis for the remaining portion
of such initial year.
THAT the permit period shall be January 1 through December 31
of each year with annual fees due and payable at the beginning
of each calendar year.
THAT Texas A&M University and those Home Occupation establish-
ments are exempted from payment of permit fees.
