THE STATE OF TEXAS CITY OF COLLEGE STATION College Station, Texas March 25, 1988 MOTION was made by Councilman Fred Brown and seconded by Councilman Lynn McIlhaney that the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas accept the pro- visions contained in Minute Order No. 86815 passed by the State Highway and Public Transportation Commission on January 27, 1988, f6r the improvement by the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation on the roads described below: New location, from the intersection of FM 2818 and Loop 507 to SH 6, a distance of approximately 0.7 mile. VOTE on the motion was as follows: 6-0 FOR: Mayor Ringer Councilman Gardner Councilman Brown Councilman Haddox Councilman McIlhaney Councilman Boughton AGAINST: None WHEREUPON the motion was declared carried. City S~ary BK ~S District No. BRYAN (17) STATE DEP~ OF HIGT~rAYS AND Pt3BLIC TRANSPORTATION MINUTE OI~DER Page 1 of 3 Pages WHEREAS, in BRAZG~ OOOIgTY in the City of College Station on new location, from the intersection of Farm to Market Road 2818 and Loop 507 to State Highway 6, a distance of approximately 0.7 mile, a construction project is required; and WHEREAS, this project qualifies for tl~ 1988-92 Urban System Progr~u (Non-Major Urbanized Areas) approved this date by State Highway and Public Transportation Cc~,.ission action; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERfD that the Engineer-Director is directed to tender the following proposal to the City of College Stat ion: Provided the City of College Station will: Provide one hundred percent of the cost of right of way clear of obstructions and free of cost to the State with acquisition procedures to be in accordance with policies of the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation and with applicable Federal and State laws governing the acquisition policies for acquiring real property. e Provide one hundred percent of the cost of utility adjustments as may be required in accorda~ with policies of the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation. Provide for the cost of construction of continuous curb and gutter, storm sewers, driveways and sidewalks, etc. in accordance with applicable governing policies and regulations of the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation. BRYAN (17) STATE DEP~ OF HIG~a~YS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION County MIB73TE O~DER Page 2 of 3 Pages e Upon completion of the construction of this project, maintain that portion of the w~rk which is its responsibility in accordance with federal and state requirements, and agree to regulate traffic and prevent encroachment on the right of way, all in accordance with governing policies and regulations of the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation. The State Department of Highways and Public Transportation will: 1. Designate a Farm to Market Road. 2. Provide relocation assistance as may be determined to be eligible under the [%elocation Assistance Program. 3. Provide for cp. nstruction. Maintain that portion of the work which is its responsibility in accordance with present maintenance ag reements. NCW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERfD that a Farm to Market Road be and is hereby designated fr~m the intersection of Farm to Market Boad 2818 and Loop 507 to State Highway 6, a distance of approximately 0.7 mlle.
