AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 5.00 ACRE TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN
THE RICHARD CARTER LEAGUE, ABSTRACT NO. 8, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING A PART OF THE
13.5~ ACRE TRACT COVEYED TO THE TRUSTEES FOR THE COLLEGE HEIGHTS ASSEMBLY OF GOD CHURCH
BY ROY V. SIMMONS, TRUSTEE, BY DEED OF TRUST RECORDED IN VOLUME 188, PAGE 738, DEED OF
TRUST RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, SAID TRACT BEING MORE PARTICULARLY OESCRIBED IN
THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIOENTIAL DISTRICT R-1 TO ADMINISTRATIVE-
PROFESSIONAL DISTRICT A-P.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday,
September 27, 198q on the question of rezoning certain areas within the City Limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the followlng:
To rezone or change the classification of the following tract of land lylng and being
situated in the Richard Carter League, Abstract No. 8, Brazos County, Texas, and being
a part of the 13.5q acre tract conveyed to the Trustees for the College Heights Assembly
of God Church by Roy V. Simmons, Trustee, By Deed of Trust Recorded in Volume 188, Page
738, Deed of Trust Records of Brazos County, Texas, said tract being more particularly
descrlbed as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron rod in the southeast R.O.W. line of F.M.Road No. 60, University
Drive, same being the common corner of Tract No. 3 and Tract No. ~ of the Putz Partition,
Dr. 287/7~5;
THENCE N 63°13~ E, along said southeast R.O.W. Line for a distance of 9~.~ feet to an
iron rod for corner;
THENCE N 72°27~ E, continuing along said R.O.W. Line for a distance of 155.6 feet to an
iron rod for corner;
THENCE S q5°28' E within Tract No. h, for a distance of ~Oq.6 feet to an iron rod for
corner:
THENCE S qh°32~ W for a d~stance of 226.8 feet to an iron rod for corner in the common
llne of Tract No. 3 and Tract No. ~;
THENCE N q5°28~ W, along said common line of Tract No. 3 and Tract No. q, for a distance
of IO08.3 feet: to the Point of Beginning, containing 5.00 acres of land more or less
from Single Family Resldentlal District R-1 to Adminlstratlve-Professlonal Oistrlct A-P.
And, it is ordained that said changes shall become effective immediately.
