A resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of College Station, Texas, to execute
a contract with Municipal Development Group, Inc. for planning services related to
the master plan for Lincoln Center/Wayne Smith Park C6rridor; and
WHEREAS, under Council Issue 7 - Southgate Area Objective: Prevent the spread
of slum areas and blighting influences in the area, the College Station Par~ and
Recreation Department has developed a plan to provide a greenbelt linkage
between two existing park facilities and create a new focal point for the adjacent
neighborhoods; and
WHEREAS, an amount of $12,000 was approved by the City Council for this project
(Account No. 122-911-949-4089) as part of the Community Development Block
Grant program and the Contract Renew Committee has approved the proposed
contract on November 28, 1989.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
College Station, Texas that Mayor Larry J. Ringer is hereby authorized to execute an
agreement with the MunicipalDevelopment Group of College Station to provide
planning services for the Master Plan for Lincoln Center/Wayne Smith Park
Corridor Development (Project Number PK0010).
PASSED AND APPROVED on this the 8th day of February, 1990.
