HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-1525 - Ordinance - 06/14/1984ORDINANCE NO. 1525 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 850, REVISING THE DISTRICT M-2 HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT REGULATIONS AND EXCLUDING A TRACT OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE J. E. SCOTT LEAGUE IN THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION~ HRAZOS COUNTY~ TEXAS FURTHER DESCRIBED IN THE ATTACHED EXHIBIT WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 14, 1984, on the auestion of amending the Zoninq Ordinance No. 850; and WHEREAS, the City of Council has determined the necessity to amend Ordinance No. 850; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the amendment would have a detrimental effect on the property described on the attached Exhibit "A" and that there has been reliance upon the Zoning Ordinance No. 850 by the property owners in the planned development of this tract; THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: The Zoning Ordinance No. 850 is hereby amended as follows: "Section 5-M. DISTRICT M-2 HEAVY INDUSTRIAL. Section 5-M.2. PERMITTED USES: Permitted Uses in District M-2 is amended to exclude all uses permitted in District C-1 General Commercial." The amendment of Zoning Ordinance No. 850 shall not include the property described in the attached Exhibit "A" hereto for the reasons found by the City Council that the inclusion of this property in the amendment would not be in the best interest of the public and the owners of the property. Scott League in College Station, Brazos County, Texas, being all of those tracts conveyed to Jersey Street Enterprizes by deeds recorded ~n Volume 563, Page 70; Volume 518, Page 346; Volume 543, Page 789 and Volume 543, Page 797 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, those tracts conveyed to Drew Woods Leasing Corporation by deeds recorded in Volume 271, Page 166, and Volume 228, Page 605 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, all of that 1.O86 acre tract conveyed to Drew Woods, Inc. by deed recorded in Volume 403, Page 291 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and part of those two tracts conveyed to Robert Callaway Corporation by deeds recorded in Volume 539, Page 10 and Volume 539, Page 15 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the southwest line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Right-of-way and the southeast line of Jersey Street. Thence E 29 degrees 40' 37" E - 777.42 feet along the southwest line of said railroad right-of-way to the most easterly corner of that tract conveyed to Drew Woods Leasing Corporation by deed recorded in Volume 228, Page 605 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas; Thence N 60 degrees 19' 23" E - 10.OO feet to the most northerly corner of the said Drew Woods, Inc. tract; Thence 8 29 degrees the said Drew Woods, Thence S 60 degres 1 the said Drew Woods, 40' 37" E - 375.5 feet along the northeast line of Inc. tract to the most easterly corner of same; 9' 23" W - 126.OO feet along the southeast line of Inc. tract to the most southerly corner of same; Thence S 18 degrees 09' 51" E - 1078.63 feet along the northeast line of the said Robert Callaway tract to the northwest line of Luther Street; Thence S 41 degrees 29' 58" W - 158.31 feet along the northwest line of Luther Street to the northeast line of Marion Pugh Drive; Thence N 22 degrees O1' 45" W - 2231.85 feet along the northeast line of Marion Pugh Drive to the southeast line of Jersey Street; Thence N 45 degrees 26' 16" E - 190.48 feet along the southeast line of Jersey Street to the Point of Beginning and Containing 11.18 acres of land more or less.
