HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-1509 - Ordinance - 04/12/1984ORDINANCE NO. 1509 All ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION REGULATING THE INSPECTION OF POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS FOOD WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS WHEREAS, the City of College Station has determined that necessity exists for the amendment of Chapter 7, Section 4A, regulating hazardous foods within the City of College Station concerning the inspection thereof, the issuance of permits and the sale of shrimp by mobile shrimp vendors within the city limits of the City of College Station, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION THAT: Chapter 7, Section 4A of the Code of Ordinances be and the same Is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 4: POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS FOOD TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, DIVISION OF FOOD AMD DRUGS "RULES ON FOOD SERVICE SANITATION 301.73.11.001-.011", ADOPTED The definitions; the inspection of food service establishments; the issuance, suspension and revocation of permits to operate food service establishments; the prohibiting of the sale of unsound or mislabeled food or drink; regulating the sale of food from mobile food units; and the enforcement of this ordinance shall be regulated in accordance with the Texas Department of Health, Division of Food and Drugs "Rules on Food Service Sanitation 301.73.11.001-.011", which on this date are hereby adopted by reference, three certified copies of which shall be on file in the office of the city secretary, and the guidelines provided by the Texas Department of Health for the regulation of mobile shrimp vendors in accordance with Article 4476-5, Texas Vernon's Annotated civil Statutes which on this date Is hereby adopted by reference: Provided, that the words "municipality of in said ordinance shall be understood to refer to the authority" shall be understood to refer to the City of College Station and the words "regulatory authority" shall be understood to refer to the City of College Station or its authorized representative. The authorized representative for enforcement of this ordinance shall be the Brazos County Health Department." PASSED AND APPROVED this the 12th day of April, 1984.
