Resolution Authorizing The Mayor, City Manager And city
Attorney To Acquire 11.41 Acres Out Of A 24.97 Acre
Tract In The Augustus Babille Survey For Use As An
Electrical Substation and Utility Easements By The
Cities Of College Station And Bryan, Texas
WHEREAS, the City of College Station having determined
the necessity of constructing an electric substation at
the corner of Arrington Road and Greens Prairie Road to
receive power from Texas Municipal Power Agency; and
WHEREAS, The City Council having determined that it is
necessary to acquire the property described in Exhibits
A, B, and C attached to this Resolution, and that the
public need requires the acquisition of same in such
manner as to make the property available for lawful use
for such purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of College Station that the property described
in Exhibits A, B, and C attached hereto shall be ac-
quired by the City; and the reasonable cash market
value of same shall be determined and paid according to
law, either by voluntary purchase or by condemnation;
and that the City Manager, the Mayor, and the City
Attorney are authorized to take any and all necessary
actions to obtain and pay for such property, including
the marketable fee simple title thereto, free and clear
of any restrictions or covenants inconsistent with the
use of same for all lawful purposes. Further, that the
City Attorney is by this resolution expressly
authorized to initiate and pursue condemnation
proceedings and any other necessary litigation incident
to the purpose herein set forth.

All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the Augustus Babille
Survey Abstract No. 75 in Brazos County, Texas, being a part of that 24.45 acre tract
conveyed to Oxy Cities Service NGL Inc.by deed recorded in Volume 882, Page 754 of
the Official Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at an iron rod set in the southeast line of Greens Prairie Road, N 41° 16' 10" E
- 409.21 feet from a 5/8" iron rod found at the most westerly corner of the said Oxy Cities
Service 24.45 acre tract.
Thence N 42° 18' 48" E - 777.62 feet along the southeast line of Greens Prairie Road to a
concrete right-of-way marker found at the most westerly corner of that 0.5187 acre tract
conveyed to the State of Texas by deed recorded in Volume 863, Page 231 of the Official
Records of Brazos County, Texas;
Thence N 87° 22' 48" E - 70.71 feet along the southeast line of the said 0.5187 acre tract
to a concrete right-of-way marker found at an angle point;
Thence S 47° 37' 12" E - 100.00 feet along the southwest line of the said 0.5187 acre
tract to a concrete right-of-way marker found at an angle point;
Thence S 23° 54' 00" E - 159.10 feet continuing along the southwest line of the said
'0.5187 acre tract to a concrete right-of-way marker found at the most southerly corner of
the said 0.5187 acre tract in the southwest line of Arrington Road;
Thence S 2° 42' 48" E - 500.90 feet along the southwest line of Arrington Road, parallel to
and 15.23' from the northeast line of the said 24.45 acre tract to an iron rod set for the
most easterly corner of this tract;
Thence S 42° 18' 48" W - 426.58 feet through the said 24.45 acre tract to an iron rod set
for the most southerly corner of this tract;
Thence N 46° 09' 34" W - 650.23 feet through the said 24.45 acre tract to the Point of
Beginning and containing 10.38 acres of land more or less.

conveyed to the State of Texas by deed recorded in Volume 863, Page 231 of the Official
Records of Brazos County, Texas. '
Thence S 2° 42' 48" E - 1120.90 feet along southwest line of Arrington Road, parallel to
and 15.23 feet from the northeast line of the said 24.45 acre tract, to the southwest line of
the said 24.45 acre tract;
Thence N 48° 43' 50" W - 41.69 feet along the southwest line of the said 24.45 acre tract;
Thence N 2° 42' 48' W - 1061.98 feet parallel to and 30 feet from the southwest line of
Arrington Road to the most westerly corner of this tract;
Thence N 42° 18' 48" E - 42.41 feet to the point of Beginning and containing 0.75 acres
of land more or less.
