A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
AGREEMENTS WITH LOCAL PHARMACIES IN ORDER TO PROVIDE LOW
COST PRESCRIPTION DRUGS.
WHEREAS, The City of College Station administers a self-
insured health benefits plan which contains provisions for
prescription drug coverage; and
WHEREAS, The City is attempting to hold down costs while
providing benefits to its employees, and
WHEREAS, The pharmacies are willing to consider discounted
drug prices to increase local purchases,
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of College Station that the City Manager is authorized
to enter into agreements with local pharmacies to provide
these discounted prescription drugs.
Passed and approved this 28th day of March, 1991.
