A RESOLUTION PRESCRIBING AN ASSESSMENT FOR GARBAGE DISPOSAL IN THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of College Station that: There shall be monthly charges assessed and collected from each person, firm, or corporation within the city limits the following monthly assessment charges for garbage disposal: $6.30 Each residential dwelling unit (single or multi-family not utilizing semi- automated commercial-type refuse containers. $4.75 Additional monthly fee for residential dwelling units having more than one (1) additional automated container. $4.20 Each residential dwelling unit utilizing semi-automated or automated commercial type refuse containers. $30.90 Places of business that can best be serviced by a residential-type automated container, without causing a health, sanitation or litter problem. $86.95 Places of business that can best be serviced by a three cubic yard, semi- automated or a large, commercial-type automated container. $140.95 Places of business that can best be serviced by a six cubic yard, semi- automated container. $60.40 Ail roll-off container service per load plus current per ton landfill charge. $50.00 Unprepared solid waste minimum charge. Actual cost of clean up can be charged pursuant to City of College Station Ordinance No. 1845, approved March 22, 1990. RESOLUTION NO. 3-12-92-3.6 Page 2 $64.30 $108.80 Places of business requiring treated medical waste collection of one to ten bags per month. Places of business requiring treated medical waste collection of eleven to twenty bags per month. The solid waste superintendent, or his representative, shall be notified of any new service locations or changes in service levels and will designate the container(s) to be utilized. The superintendent can require changes in service levels at any location when the current service is inadequate and is causing a health, sanitation, or litter problem. Payments must be received at the city utility office on or before the due date to avoid late charges. Payment received after the due date will be assessed a penalty equaling ten percent (10%) of the current month's charges with a minimum charge of Three Dollars ($3.00). These rates shall be effective on all invoices submitted by the City of College Station to users on or after March 15, 1992. PASSED and APPROVED this 12th day of March , 1992.
