Agenda Item No. 1 - Canvass of Election Returr,,s for May_ 1.1993 General Election.
City Secretary Connie Hooks presented this item. She thanked the election judges and
workers who contributed their time on election day. She introduced Dr. Ed Burns,
Central Counting Station. Dr. Burns canvassed the election returns.
Councilman Schneider made a motion to approve Resolution No.
5-05-93-1. The motion was seconded by Councilman Crouch which carried
unanimously, 5-0.
Agenda Item No. 2 - Presentation of Service Plaques.
Mayor Ringer presented two year services plaquest to City Councilman Place 1, Fred
Brown and City Councilman Place 3, Lynn Mcllhaney. Former councilmember of Place
5, Jim Gardner was not present at the meeting.
Agenda Item No. 3 - Oath of Office and Presentation of Cartificates of Election.
City Judge Steve Smith presented the oath of office to the newly elected officials, City
Councilman Place 1, Fred Brown; City Councilman Place 3, Lynn Mcllhaney; and City
Councilman Place 5, David Hickson.
Mayor Ringer presented each councilmember with the official Certificate of Election.
Agenda Item No. 4 -Adjoum.
Mayor Ringer adjourned the meeting at 4:45 p.m. Following the meeting was a
reception for incoming councilmembers, families, and staff.
