TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 1993

COUNCILMEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Ringer, Councilmembers Schneider, Brown,
Mcllhaney, Crouch, Hickson, Kennady

A.qenda Item No. 1 - Call to Order.
Mayor Ringer called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
Agenda Item No. 2 - Discussion and consideration of an ordinance adopting the
1993 tax rate.
Councilman Schneider moved to approve Ordinance No. 2036 to set the tax rate at
44.50 per $100 valuation for FY 93-94. Councilman Crouch seconded the motion.
Councilmembers discussed at length several items in the FY 93-94 budget: Travel and
Training, Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Fire Station No. 3. Councilman Brown
and Councilman Kennady expressed their opposition to the tax increase.
The motion to approve the tax rate carried 5-2.
FOR: Mayor Ringer, Councilmembers Crouch, Hickson, Mcllhaney, Schneider
AGAINST: Councilmembers Brown and Kennady
AQenda Item No. 3 - Executive Session to discuss land acquisition r6252-17(2)(f)].
The council convened to the training room for closed session at 6:14 p.m.
AQenda Item No. 4 - Action on Executive Session.
The council came back to the council chambers at 6:54 p.m. No action was taken.
