HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-1698 - Ordinance - 02/26/1987ORDINANCE NO. 1698 AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 12.18 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE MORGAN RECTOR LEAGUE, BRAZOS COUNTY, COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS AND CONSISTING OF ALL OF THE 5.669 ACRES DESCRIBED IN VOLUME 262, PAGE 612, AND PART OF THE 46.07 ACRE TRACT DESCRIBED IN VOLUME 262, PAGE 380, DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM E-6 APARTMENT BUILDINGS/HIGH DENSITY TO C-I GENERAL COMMERCIAL. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHERREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the Cxty Nail at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 26, 1987 on the question of rezonlng certain areas within the city limits; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change iht. classification of all that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the Morgan Rector League, Brazos County, College Stat%on, Texas, and consisting of all of the 5.669 acres described In the deed recorded tn Volume 262, page 612, and part of the 46.07 acre tract of land described in Volume 262, page 380, Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the iron rod in the southeast right-of-way Highway No. 30 markmng the most northerly corner of the beforementioned 5.669 acre tract of ]and on the ground; line of State THENCE S 51'58.8' E along the southwest line of the W. R. Miller 1.46 acre tract for a distance of 298.98 feet to a polat for corner ~n the angle of Wolf Pen Creek, sa~d center]ina of Wolf Pen Creek being the northwesterly boundary line of the beforementloned 46.07 acre tract; THENCE along the beforementloned centerlmne of Wolf Pen Creek and northwest boundary line of the beforementioned 46.07 acre tract with %ts meanders for the following calls: N 24'40' N 8]'44' S 88°31, N 65'58' S 80°44' S 16'51' N 89'34' the northeast W 55.22 feet, E 60.78 feet; E 28.64 feet; E 92.17 feet; E 41.37 feet; E 71.20 feet; E 53.44 feet to a point for corner in the fence marking line of the beforementioned 46.07 acre tract, THENCE S 46°14' E aleng the beforementioned fence and northeast ]mne for a distance of 243.97 feet to a point for corner; THENCE S 45'42.2' W for a distance of 852.65 feet to a point for corner; i 004962 Ordinance No. 1698 THENCE N 44°17.8' W at a distance of 225.0 feet cross the beforementxoned centerline of Wolf Pen Creek, continue for a total distance of 709.82 feet to an iron rod for corner in the beforementtoned southeast r~ght-of-way line of Texas State Highwsy No. 30; THENCE N 45'42.2' E along the beforement~oned southeast right-of-way for a distance of 600.0 feet to the place of begtnning, contamnxng ]2.]8 acres of land, more or less, from R-6 Apartment Buildings/High Density to C-1 Genera] Commercial.
