AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF A RIGHT-OF-WAY IN
COLLEGE HILLS WOODLANDS, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING A PART OF WHAT WAS ORIGINALLY PLATTED AS
WOODLAND PARKWAY, AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED ON THE
ATTACHED EXHIBIT "A".
W~EREAS, on the llth day of September, 1986 the City Council
reviewed the undeveloped right-of-way for Woodland Parkway;
WHEREAS, it was originally intended that Woodland Parkway would
extend to Ashburn Avenue;
WHEREAS, the City has determined that it has no intention of
developing the existing right-of-way or condemning additional
right-of-way for the extension of Woodland Parkway to Ashburn
Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City of College Station has determined that the
existing lots can take access to Ashburn Avenue by private
driveways;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, that a portion of the unutilized right-of-
way of Woodland Parkway described in the attached Exhibit "A" be
abandoned and vacated and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
a quit claim deed to that portion of the right-of-way to the
adjacent property owners; and the remaining portion shall be used as
park land by the City of College Station.

College Hills Woodlands
College Station, Texas
7 August 1986
Ail that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated
in the Richard Carter League in College Station, Brazos County,
Texas, being a part of Woodland Parkway in College Hills
Woodlands addition to the City of College Station, Texas,
according to plat of record in Volume 104, Page 3 of the Deed
Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at an iron rod found at the common corner of Lot 40 and
Lot 41 in the southwest line of Woodland Parkway in the said
College Hills Woodlands, N 16" 21' 23" W - 110.0 feet from an
iron pipe found at the common corner of Lot 39 and Lot 40.
Thence N 16" 21' 23" W - 93.50 feet along the line between the
said Lot 41 and the said Woodland Parkway to an iron rod set at
the P.C. of a curve to the left (R=80.99');
Thence along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 34"
18' 33" to an iron rod set at the P.T. of said curve in the
southwest line of Marsteller Avenue at a point located S 51" 44'
21" E - 9.26 feet from an iron pipe found at the common front
corner of Lot 41 and Lot 42 and S 50" 39' 56" E - 169.3 feet from
an iron pipe found at the common front corner of Lot 43 and Lot
44;
Thence S 50" 39' 56" E - 95.97 feet along the southwest line of
Marsteller Avenue to an iron rod set at the intersection of the
southwest line of Marsteller Avenue and the northeast line of
Woodland Parkway;
Thence S 16" 21' 23" E - 56.94 feet along the northeast line of
Woodland Parkway to an iron rod set on an extension of the line
between Lot 40 and Lot 41;
Thence S 69° 26' 05" W - 40.11 feet across Woodland Parkway on an
extension of the line between Lot 40 and Lot 41 to the Point
