AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER Il, OF TNE CODE OF ORDINANCES, OF
THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS BY ADDING A SECTION 7 ESTAE-
LISHINC THE PURPOSE OF THE DRAINAGE MAINTENANCE PROCRAM, SETTINC
AN ASSESSMENT, PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE, AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION
THAT:
That Chapter 11, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of College
Station is hereby amended by add/nS e section, to be numbered
Section 7, which said section shall read as £ollows:
"SECTION 7: NTNON DRAINAGE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
A. PURPOSE
To provide clean and properly maintained City drainage
easements within the municipality's minor tributary
collection system·
SURCHARGE T~O COVER COST
Implementation of a drainage proirem shall be funded through
an assessment to be levied on a monthly basis and to be
included within the sanitation charge billed to utility
customers of the City. This surcharge shall be in the
following amount:
Each unit, per month - $0.50
C. EFFECTIVE DATE OF MONTHLY ASSESSMENT FOR DRAINAGE PROGRAM
The assessment as set forth in this sectzon shall be
effective on all invoices submztted by the City of College
Station to users on or after July 1, 1986."
II.
Should any section, para&raph, sentence, clause, phrase, or word
of this ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalzd for any
purpose, the remainder of this ordznance shall not be affected
thereby.

III.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances, in conflict herewith
are superseded to the extent o£ the con£1ict only.
IV.
And, it is ordained that this Ordinance shall become effective
from and after its passage in accordance with the City Charter of
the City of College Station.
