AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER I, SECTION 1], SUB-SECTION B. (1)
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, RE-
LATING TO THE PERCENTAGE OF HOTEL OCCUPANCY TAX, AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STA-
TION, TEXAS, that Chapter I, Section 11, Sub-Section B. (1) of
the Code of Ordinances of the City of College Station is hereby
amended to read as follows:
B. LEVY OF TAX; RATE; EXCEPTIONS
(1) There is hereby levied a tax upon the cost of
occupancy of any room or space furnished by any hotel where such
cost of occupancy is at the rate of Two Dollars ($2.00) or more
per day, such tax to be equal to six percent (6%) of the consid-
eration paid by the occupant of such room to such hotel.
II.
It is ordained that this ordinance shall become effective as of
July 1, 1986, in accordance with the City Charter of the City of
College Station.
