A RESOLUTION PRESCRIBING AN ASSESSMENT FOR GARBAGE
DISPOSAL IN THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of College Station that:
Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 11, Section 5, of the City of College Station
Code of Ordinances, there shall be monthly charges assessed and collected fi.om
each person, firm or corporation within the city limits the following monthly
assessment charges for garbage collection and disposal:

The charges for garbage collection and disposal for places of business that can best
he served by Front-End Loading Non-Compacting and Compacting containers
shall be a monthly fee based on container size, number of containers utilized, and
fi.equency of collection per week.

The solid waste superintendent, or his representative, shall be notified of any new
service locations or changes in service levels and will designate the container(s) to
be utilized. The superintendent can require changes in service levels at any
location when the current service is inadequate and is causing a health, sanitation,
or litter problem.
Payments must be received at the City utility office on or before the due date to
avoid late charges. Payment received after the due date will be assessed a penalty
equaling ten percent (10%) of the current month's charges with a minimum charge
of Three Dollars ($3.00).
These rates shall be effective on all invoices submitted by the City of College
Station to users on or after February 1, 1997.
