HomeMy WebLinkAbout3-26-98-6b - Resolution - 03/26/1998q so[ution RESOLUTION NO. 3-26-98-6b A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, BRAZOS COUNTY, STATE OF TEXAS, APPOINTING THE ELECTION OFFICIALS FOR THE MAY 2, 1998 GENERAL AND SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL ELECTION, SETTING THE RATE OF PAY FOR OFFICIALS AND THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF CLERKS FOR EACH POLLING PLACE. DESIGNATION OF THE POLLING PLACES ARE ESTABLISHED IN THE NOTICE OF ELECTION, ADOPTED FEBRUARY 12, 1998. Whereas, on January 22, 1998 and February 12, 1998, the City Council of the City of College Station ordered a special election to place a proposition on the ballot regarding term limits for Mayor and Councilmember positions, a special election on an initiative ordinance prohibiting the expenditure of funds for Northgate Public Parking Garage Project, and a general election for the purpose of electing a Mayor, City Councilmembers Place 2, 4, and 6; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, THAT: The following individuals, registered voters of Brazos County and College Station, Texas, shall be and are hereby appointed to serve in said elections: Polling Place No. 2 (consisting of County Voting Precincts No. 2, 82) at Wellborn Water Supply Corporation, 4118 Greens Prairie Road West; Presiding Judge: Shirley Redman Alternate Judge: Linda Scott Polling Place No. 8 (consisting of County Voting Precinct No. 8) at South Knoll Elementary School, 1220 Boswell; Presiding Judge: Karen Tohkubbi Alternate Judge: Helen Cluck Polling Place No. 9 (consisting of County Voting Precinct No. 9) at College Station Conference Center, 1300 George Bush Drive; Presiding Judge: Mary Schmidt Alternate Judge: Connie Dodd Resolution 98 Judges Page 2 Polling Place No. 10 (consisting of County Voting Precinct No, 10) at College Station Municipal Court Complex, 2611 S. There shall be a minimum of 3 and no more than 4 workers at each polling place. PASSED AND APPROVED By the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, on this the 26th day of March, 1998.
