A RESOLUTION OF THE QTY COUNQL OF THE QTY OF COLLEGE STATION,
'1EXAS, TO PARTTQPATE IN THE INTEGRATION OF INTELLIGENT
TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS IN THE BRYAN /COLLEGE STATION AREA.
WHEREAS, the City of College Station's Vision Statement # 3, Strategy # 3 provides that the
City of College Station will improve transportation;
WHEREAS, the City of College Station is committed to and realizes the benefits of working
cooperatively on regional transportation issues;
WHEREAS, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) should improve transportation safety and
efficiency, enhance transit integration and operations; reduce auto vehicle emissions; and improve
traveler information for emergency and special events; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation, the Texas Transportation Institute, and
the Cities of College Station and Bryan have financially matched a federal grant to integrate ITS
technologies in the Bryan / College Station metropolitan area; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE QTY COUNQL OF THE QTY OF COLLEGE STATION,

PART 1: That the City Council hereby approves the Local Project Advanced Funding
Agreement as submitted by the Texas Transportation Institute on behalf of the
Texas Department of Transportation with regard to the "College Station
Integration Project - Phase II which is attached hereto as Exhibit A;
PART 2: That the Cites total liability under the Agreement will be $7,000.00 in labor cost
and that the City will not be liable for any indirect project costs unless the City
terminates the project;
PART 3: That the Mayor of College Station is authorized to sign the Local Project
Advanced Funding Agreement;
PART 4: That the staff will take administrative and procedural actions to implement the
resolution; and
PART 5: That this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
